This web-site is maintained by the Ministry and Mission Committee of the Presbyterian Church in New South Wales to help ministers, elders, and members of the church access information and forms for the benefit of church community life. The section headings on the left will guide you around the site.
While you’re here
Pause a moment to thank God for the MACH10 conference held at the Toongabbie Presbyterian Church in April. Eminent speakers helped over 100 participants learn how to share the truth claims of Jesus graciously and courteously in challenging envirnments.
Praise God, too, for churches that have commenced coaching in church revitalisation. Or second Fanning the Flame cycle began on March 13-14. Please pray for these churches, their ministe
rs and elders.
And, if you will, please pray for the ESL Training Day coming up on 28 August between 9.30 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. at 77 Shaftesbury Rd, Burwood.
Personal Peacemaking
The Scriptures are full of the importance of peace. In fact, peace is central to the core Biblical message: that God has acted in Jesus to make peace between himself and people who live in rebellion against him. The Ministry & Mission Committee is privileged to work with PeaceWise to equip people to live as peacemakers in a troubled world. Over 200 people have participated in Personal Peacemaking seminars presented across NSW. More seminars are planned for: Burwood (14 August), Mullumbimby (28 August) and Albion Park (16 October). If you belong to a Presbyterian Church nearby and would like to come, please go to the Contact Us link at the bottom of this page and we’ll see if we can involve you.
Chaplains to the Defence Force
Did you know that the Australian Defence Force has openings for qualified ministers to serve as chaplains in either a “regular” or “reserve” capacity? If you are a minister of the Presbyterian Church, or would consider becoming a minister committed to the spiritual and personal welfare of defence personnel, contact us and we’ll put you in touch with people who can help.
Chaplains to the Emergency Services
Emergency Services organisers will often welcome approaches from qualified ministers who offer to serve as chaplains. If you are interested in this line of service, contact the fire brigade, police, ambulance or SES headquarters.
